foto.jpgDimitri Gabunia was born on February 10, 1977. He studied at the Faculty of Law and graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with honors in 1999. From 1999 to 2001 Dimitri Gabunia furthered postgraduate education at the Faculty of Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
In the period from 1997 to 1999 he took practice at the Legal Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia. Dimitri Gabunia undertook trainings on conflict resolution and negotiation strategies, legislative techniques and lawmaking processes (USAID, AED) from 1997 to 1998. He has also taken part in the State Legal Olympiad "Human and Constitution".
In 2000, Dimitri Gabunia studied at Constitutional and Legal Policy Institute (COLPI) in Budapest, Hungary.
From 1996 to 1999 he was a member of Students’ Scientific Board at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and a Head of Civil Law Department. From 1998 to 1999 Dimitri Gabunia was an intern at the Legal Department at the Ministry of State Property Management of Georgia. From 1999 to 2000 he worked as a senior specialist at the Legal Department of the Ministry of State Property Management of Georgia. Dimitri Gabunia was an attorney at the Law Office “Kordzadze and Svanidze – Attorneys” from 2000 to 2003. He served as a director of Tbilisi Arbitration Chamber from 2003 to 2007. Dimitri Gabunia was an attorney at “Kordzadze Law Office” from 2003 to 2005. From 2005 to December 17, 2018 he was a founder of the Attorney’s office “Gabunia and Partners”. In 2010 Dimitri Gabunia founded the “School of Attorneys Ltd.”.
On December 18, 2018 Dimitri Gabunia was appointed as the Parliamentary Secretary of the President of Georgia.
He speaks fluent English and Russian.
