Khatia Moistsrapishvili – Press Speaker of the President of Georgia

Khatia Moistsrapishvili was born on January 14, 1971.
From 1988 to 1993 she studied history at Ivane Javakhishvili State University. From 1993 to 1995 she took a master’s program in ethnology and ethnography at the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnology. In 1996 Khatia Moistsrapishvili took BBC Special course of TV journalism.
From 1994 to 1995 she worked as a Press Manager at the International Youth Foundation of Georgia while from 1995 to 1997, as a Consultant at the Information-Analytical Center for Economic Reforms at the State Chancellery of Georgia.
From 1995 to 2000 Khatia Moistsrapishvili was an anchorwoman and correspondent of “Moambe” at Georgian Public Broadcaster. During the same period she was working as a Press Officer of the President of Georgia.
From 2003 to 2004 she worked as a Head of Public Relations Department at the TV company “Imedi”. She was a Public Relations Consultant at United Energy Distribution Company (UEDC) from 2004 to 2007. Khatia Moistsrapishvili established and anchored the analytical program “Capital” at the TV company “Mze” from 2006 to 2007. In 2007-2008 she was an anchorwoman of the news programs at “Mze”.
Khatia Moistsrapishvili was a Head of Public Relations Department at Tbilisi City Court from 2008 to 2010. She was a Head of Public Relations Department also at the Georgian-American Law Firm “ELG” from 2010 to 2011 and the Georgian-Austrian joint venture “CheeseCo” in 2012.
From 2008 to 2012 Khatia Moistsrapishvili established and anchored the weekly analytical interactive radio program “Law with Khatia Moistsrapishvili”.
From 2012 to 2018 she worked as a Head of the Public Relations and Marketing Department at the Georgian Revenue Service.
On December 31, 2018 Khatia Moistsrapishvili was appointed as a Press Speaker of the President of Georgia.
Khatia Moistsrapishvili speaks fluent English and Russian.
She is married and has two children.
