The President of Georgia Meets with the President of the Republic of Albania

As a part of the working visit to Baku, the President of Georgia, H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili has held a bilateral meeting with the President of the Republic of Albania, H.E. Bujar Nishani.
At the meeting the parties have discussed the prospects of strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing political, economic, and political cooperation between the two countries.
President Margvelashvili has thanked President Nishani for his firm support of Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-recognition policy.
The parties have also discussed the current situation in the occupied territories of Georgia. President Margvelashvili noted that the human rights and security situation in the occupied territories has worsened and stressed the need for international on-site security mechanisms.
President Nishani has once again underscored his support of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration process.
The parties have also discussed the prospects of strengthening bilateral economic relations and drawn attention to Georgia’s investment opportunities for Albanian businessmen.
President Margvelashvili has invited his Albanian counterpart to Georgia.
