President Zourabichvili Studies Outcomes of Georgian-Polish Joint Archeological Expedition

Salome Zourabichvili, President of Georgia has visited Besarion Gabashvili Park in Kutaisi where the heads of the Georgian-Polish joint expedition have introduced her to the outcomes of archaeological excavations.
Nika Antidze, Director of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia has informed the President of the expedition program that aims at setting archeological boundaries for the city of Kutaisi and examining Kutaisi’s development since the Stone Age. As he highlighted, the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation plans to present the historic part of Kutaisi, as an urban monument, to UNESCO. 

The presentation of outcomes of Gabashvili park excavations was attended by Mariusz Maszkiewicz, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Georgia.
