President Salome Zourabichvili meets with Ambassador Rudolf Michalka, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus

President Salome Zourabichvili  held a meeting with Ambassador Rudolf Michalka, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus. 
Rudolf Michalka informed the Georgian President in detail on his recent visits to the occupied territories of Georgia.
For her part, Salome Zourabichvili  put a special accent on the difficult humanitarian situation and an increasing number of human rights violations in the occupied territories.
  
The President also paid special attention to the restriction of Abkhaz-language instruction in occupied Abkhazia. According to her, Russification is ongoing in the region and Russian passports are being issued to the local population, free movement remains restricted and checkpoints connecting to the Tskhinvali region were closed for 63 days.
In the words of the President, the format of Geneva International Discussions has acquired a technical character and, to enhance its productivity, it is necessary to upgrade this format to a high political level, with the support of Georgia’s friends and international partners.
