The President of Georgia meets with the Vanuatuan Foreign Minister

President Salome Zourabichvili  received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Vanuatu Ralph Regenvanu.
At a meeting attended by Minster of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani, Ambassador of the Republic of Vanuatu to the European Union and Belgium John Licht, and Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Vanuatu and Canberra Giorgi Dolidze, the sides underlined the need to intensify a dialogue within the framework of bilateral political consultations.

It was highlighted that despite the statement made by Vanuatu in 2011, Vanuatu’s state policy is to unequivocally support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, as well as the non-recognition policy with respect to Georgia’s occupied territories, in full compliance with the fundamental norms and principles of international law.

Special attention at the meeting was paid to the issues relating to the development of cooperation in the economic, education, healthcare, and agricultural sectors.
