President of Georgia attended swearing of oath on the solemn graduation ceremony of the first flow of Junkers at the National Defense Academy

President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili congratulated the first flow of Junkers, 105 graduate “Junkers” officers of bachelor program with swearing of oath and appealed.
 
“I would like to thank to graduates and their families for such an important choice you have made. For the choice, being glorious and at the same time the hardest mission
 
You served to this choice when you were improving your qualification and obtaining required skills. Strength of the state, firmness of its borders and stability of its society are based on your choice, knowledge and skills.
 
In addition, the enemy looks at your choice and your professional skills. It looks and naturally, it is afraid, as it sees professional and efficient Georgian army. Strong army you are serving is not becoming less, but it is strengthening on a daily basis by the people like you!
 
The heroes left the armed forces, whose name we will have in our hearts and never forget!
 
To be the first graduate of the defense academy is very important mission and important obligation. Naturally, you will be proud of it all the time!
 
Georgia soldier was always an intellectual soldier in addition to courage and strength; otherwise our ancestors were not be able to deal with numerous enemies.
 
Today you are on the way to your ancestors-to protect your native land, Let God save you on this way!”- President of Georgia declared.
 
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the state awarded diplomas to five excellent students.
 
Junkers and guests paid a minute of silence to dead military servants’ memory during fighting for integrity of Georgia and implementation of their duties.
 
Four year officer basic military education program was renewed in David Aghmashenebeli Natinoal Defence Academy since 2011.
 
Since 2013 the students of national defense academy educational battalion was returned the historical title “Junker” for paying honor to the Junkers heroically died in 1921 in the fight for independence of Georgia.
 
 The representatives of the President administration, government, legislative body, General headquarters, diplomatic corps and the parents of graduates attended the ceremony.
