The President of Georgia visited the Carnegie Endowment in Washington, DC at the end of the visit

The First Person of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili held a meeting with  the president of Carnegie Foundation William Burns in Washington on Wednesday. After the meeting, a discussion was held in round table format.
 
Giorgi Margvelashvili addressed the audience and paid attention to international security issues. He underscored the need to deepen the strategic partnership between Georgia and the United States and the capacity to raise the relations on the new level.
 
The discussions focused on the fight against terrorism and participation of Georgia in NATO's peacekeeping missions.
 
Special attention was paid to regional security and Russia-Georgian conflict.
 
Representatives of the Georgian delegation from the Georgian National Security Council secretary Irina Imerlishvili, administration officials of Presidential Administration and members of Parliament took part in the discussion.
