H.E. President Giorgi Margvelashvili Invited his Polish Counterpart to Visit Georgia

The President of Georgia has invited the President of the Republic of Poland H.E., Mr. Andrzej Duda, to pay an official visit to Georgia.
 
The President of Georgia has met with H.E President Andrzej Duda, within the working visit to the United States. The President of Georgia thanked the Polish counterpart for his continued support of Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as well as Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
 
The sides have discussed the existing relationships between two states, including the political, economic and security matters. They also talked about the issues of Georgia’s European integration process and further deepening cultural cooperation.
 
The special attention was paid to preparation to Warsaw Summit, at the meeting.
 
As noted H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili, Georgia welcomes the fact that the issue of our country is on the agenda of Warsaw Summit and hopes that Summit will bring some progress in Georgia-NATO relationships.
 
The discussion was also focused on the visa waiver issue in this context the sides mentioned that in the wake of Georgia’s progress made during the reforms it will be allowed short-term visa waiver for Georgian citizens within the Schengen area in the shortest period.
 
 “On the invitation extended by the President of Georgia the President of Poland agreed that he will visit Georgia, however expressed hope that he will see the President of Georgia in NATO Summit to Warsaw ahead visiting Tbilisi”, - was admitted by the Advisor of the President of Georgia – Foreign relations Secretary Mr. Tengiz Pkhaladze.
