President Alexander Lukashenko Pays Official Visit to Georgia

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko has paid an official visit to Georgia. Official reception has been held at the Presidential Palace in Tbilisi.
President Lukashenko and President Margvelashvili will discuss political cooperation between the two countries, prospects for developing multilateral relations with international organizations, regional environment and security challenges.
According to Tengiz Pkhaladze, Advisor to President Margvelashvili for Foreign Affairs, three years of Georgia-Belarussian relation has really impressive outcomes. Embassy of Belarus has been opened in Tbilisi, tourism indicator and trade turnover have been increased, and investments have grown.
“We will sign extremely important agreements as part of this visit that will facilitate free movement and intensify trade-economic and transport cooperation.
Therefore this visit is crucial for further development of our bilateral relations. All the agreements reached between the two presidents within the last three years are fulfilled. This cooperation will be further developed for the benefit of our country,” Mr. Pkhaladze said.
As part of the visit, President Lukashenko and President Margvelashvili will make joint media statements.
Celebration of the Minsk Days will kick off in Tbilisi. Also, Georgia-Belarus Business Forum will be held.
