President Zourabichvili and the President of Poland Assess Tenth Anniversary of Eastern Partnership at Warsaw International Conference

President Salome Zourabichvili participated in Warsaw in the international conference “Leaders' Dialogue: 10th Anniversary of the Eastern Partnership” dedicated to the tenth anniversary since the establishment of the Eastern Partnership.
Both presidents overviewed and assessed ten years of the Eastern Partnership and discussed its future.
As keys to achieve success for the initiative were named two principles: inclusiveness and differentiation.
It was highlighted that Georgia is a country that obtained many benefits from this initiative. The merit of Poland is huge in this case. Poland, together with Sweden, is a founder country of the initiative. Today, it is symbolic that the visit of the President of Georgia coincides with the tenth anniversary of the Eastern Partnership.
As the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, underlined, Georgia obtained an Association Agreement, a free trade agreement, a visa-free regime with the EU and integration within the European Energy Union as part of the framework of this partnership, which are great achievements. Both presidents answered the audience’s questions about current developments in Georgia’s occupied regions and its European integration path, as well as Georgia’s ongoing challenges and its strategies to overcome them.
Following the discussion, the President of Georgia and the President of the Republic of Poland explored an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
