The President of Georgia and the First Lady Attended the Reception Held due to the 25th Anniversary of Restoration Georgia’s Independence, in Paris

The President of Georgia H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili and the First Lady Mrs. Maka Chichua attended the ceremonial reception held by the Embassy of Georgia in France due to the 25th anniversary of restoration Georgia’s independence, during as part of the official visit to France.
 
The Georgian delegation, as well as the descendants of the first republic government members, the diplomatic corps representatives accredited to France, the Diaspora representatives residing in France, and the public figures has also attended the ceremonial reception at the Interalliée Palace.
 
The President of Georgia H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the French Republic H.E. Eka Siradze – Delone have addressed the audience gathered in the Interalliée Palace.
 
 “25 years ago Georgia became an independent country, independent from the Soviet Union, but we trend from independence towards freedom now. 
 
We identified the pathway from independence towards freedom as our future aim and declared 2016 as the European state year.
 
We gained our independence, but Georgia, precisely, will become free, when will implement its natural identity and naturally will create European state”, - was admitted by the President of Georgia while delivering his speech.
 
As he stated, the creation of such a state means that the organic Europeanism, what Georgian and Georgian culture own we should transmit into the adequate political institutions, proper political arrangement, such a form of state life that exists in Europe.
 
Due to the 25th anniversary of Georgia’s independence, the ensemble “Suliko” existing at the Zacharia Paliashvili Georgian National Opera and Ballet Theater has held the concert, organized by the Embassy of Georgia.
