President Alexander Lukashenko to Pay Official Visit to Georgia

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko and Belarusian delegation will pay an official visit to Georgia tomorrow.
President Lukashenko and President Margvelashvili will discuss political cooperation between the two countries, prospects for developing multilateral relations with international organizations, regional environment and security challenges.
Heads of state will also discuss trade-economic cooperation between Georgia and Belarus and the prospects for its future development. Conversation will touch upon the cooperation in science, education and medicine, transportation, logistic and infrastructure.
The official reception will be held at the Presidential Palace, following which the two presidents will hold a face-to-face meeting. They will also meet along with accompanied delegations. President Margvelashvili and President Lukashenko will make joint media statements.
The two presidents will sign joint documents on cooperation between the Georgian and Belarussian state institutions, including the memorandum on cooperation between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and the National Library of Belarus; agreement on cooperation between Rustavi and Zhodzina; agreement on regional cooperation between Imereti region and Gomel region; memorandum between the Partnership Fund of Georgia and the Development Bank of Belarus; memorandum on cooperation between the National Bank of Georgia and the National Bank of Belarus; cooperation in higher education between Georgia and the Republic of Belarus; agreement between the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Health of Belarus; agreement between the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus; agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of Belarus on visa free travel.
As part of the official visit, President Lukashenko will lay a wreath at the memorial of Georgian heroes fallen in fight for Georgia’s integrity. He will hold meetings with the Prime Minister and the Patriarch of Georgia. Celebration of the Minsk Days will kick off in Tbilisi. Also, Georgia-Belarus Business Forum will be held as part of President Lukashenko’s visit.
