President Zourabichvili Meets with Local Authorities in Guria

President Salome Zourabichvili held a working meeting with the local authorities of Guria, during which she was briefed on the current situation in the region.
The sides discussed agriculture, ecology, ecosystems, and ways of preserving them in the region. The importance of decentralization and development strategies of the region were also highlighted at the meeting.
“It is essential that the region’s decentralization continues at an accelerated pace,” noted the President.
President Zourabichvili emphasized three problematic issues at the working meeting, including the flexibility of the tendering process, decentralization of the region, and land registration for the local population.
“Three major problems have been identified and I intend to work on them along with my administration and other agencies. These issues do not refer only to Guria, they are general,” stated President Zourabichvili.

•           Zurab Nasaraia, State Representative in Guria; 
•           Ketevan Moistsrapishvili, Deputy State Representative in Guria; 
•           Gia Ebralidze, Deputy State Representative in Guria; 
•           Konstantine Sharashenidze, Mayor of the Ozurgeti Municipality;
•           Davit Darchia, Chairman of the Ozurgeti Municipal Assembly;
•           Aleksandre Sarishvili, Mayor of the Lanchkhuti Municipality;
•           Besik Tabatadze, Chairman of the Lanchkhuti Municipal Assembly;
•           Tamaz Jincharadze, First Deputy Mayor of the Chokhatauri Municipality;
•           Zaal Mamaladze, Chairman of the Chokhatauri Municipal Assembly.
