President Margvelashvili Participates in Ceremonies Marking Lithuania's Independence

Following the official reception, the President of Georgia, H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili, together with the European leaders moved to the Daukantas Square, where the ceremony of hoisting the flags of the three Baltic States, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia has been held. The ceremony has been culminated with the chime of church bells across Lithuania. The event has also included three canon salutes and a flyover by fighter jets from NATO’s air policing mission.
The President of Lithuania, H.E. Dalia Grybauskaitė has thanked the invited guests for supporting Lithuania.
The events marking the 100th anniversary of Lithuania’s independence have been attended by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of Iceland Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis, President of Poland Andrzej Duda, President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid and President of Finland Sauli Niinistö.
