President Zourabichvili Visits the Telliskivi Creative City in Tallinn

President Salome Zourabichvili visited the “Telliskivi Creative City” in Tallinn. Founder of the Centre Mr. Jaanus Juss welcomed the President and briefed her on the working peculiarities of the “City.”
According to him, the “Telliskivi Creative City” is currently Estonia’s biggest creative center, with spaces for creative companies, startups, studios, restaurants and Estonian design stores.
The “Telliskivi Creative City” brings together a variety of activities, including cultural and business events as well as annual thematic festivals. It represents one of the most popular spaces for the people living in Tallinn, especially for the youth. The “Telliskivi Creative City” development started in 2007 on the territory of a former industrial complex. Today, it represents a combination of culture and businesses. Up to 1,500 representatives of different fields are employed in more than 250 companies, including founders and designers of Estonian startups. The Centre annually hosts up to 600 cultural events.
