Open competition announced for one vacant position of the member of the Central Election Commission of Georgia

In accordance with the decree issued by the president of Georgia on Nov, 19th, an open competition has been announced for one position of a member of the Central Election Commission of Georgia. A commission of four members has been set up at the Administration of the President, which has been staffed by the representatives of the President’s administration and local non-governmental organizations: Nino Lomjaria, CEO of the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy, Eka Gigauri, CEO of the Transparency International – Georgia, Lasha Abashidze, the head of the President’s Administration of Georgia, Davit Umekashvili, the head of the HR and Chancellery Services of the Administration of the President.
The deadline for submitting required documents for the vacancy is 14 days.
 
Two days after the expiration of the deadline for submitting documents, the list of the selected candidates will be published. The commission will select at least two and maximum three candidates and present them to the president. President of Georgia will take a decision on selecting the candidates within seven days and present two selected candidates to parliament.
