The President of Georgia, H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili has participated in the official opening ceremony of the multinational military training, “Noble Partner 2017” at Vaziani Military Base.
Invited guests and military servicemen have taken the moment of silence to commemorate the soldiers, killed in military operations and international missions. The President has addressed the audience.
According to President Margvelashvili, this very important joint training, “Noble Partner”, is held in Georgia for the third consecutive year and this practice has become a tradition.
"I cannot describe this joint training more precisely than its name itself, because we are noble partners and companions, together holding the flag of freedom, democracy and global stability of human rights.
I would like to welcome representatives of all countries participating in the training, especially our American companions, together with whom Georgian soldiers defend stability in Afghanistan.
Comrades, your companions sacrifice their health and life to the main goal - protection of our societies, inviolability of our borders and peace", - stated President Margvelashvili.
On behalf of the Georgian population, the Commander-in-Chief has thanked all soldiers for their service.
"I am sure you will gain worthy experience and friends during the training. Friendship among our countries starts from the friendship and loyalty of our peoples.
I wish you a successful training. Let God bless Georgia and those countries which you represent”, – added President Margvelashvili.
The President has taken part in the opening ceremony together with the Prime Minister, the Secretary of the National Security Council, the Minister of Defense, the Chief of General Staff, members of the executive and legislative branches and the diplomatic corps, accredited to Georgia.
