President Margvelashvili: Vocational Education Is Crucial Part of Robust Education System

Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia has held a reception for the participants of the Week of Skills 2018 at the Presidential Palace. The Week of Skills 2018 is organized by the Millennium Challenge Corporation and its participants represent international corporations from the UK, US and Australia, who along with Georgian colleagues seek to improve the quality of vocational education in Georgia.
President Margvelashvili has thanked the acting Ambassador of the United States to Georgia for visiting the Palace and American colleagues for sharing their experience.
"I am glad that this project, focusing on vocational education is carried out so intensively. I have met many American patriots, attaching great importance to values, sharing knowledge and cooperation who are actively involved in building a better future for Georgia. Vocational education is a crucial part of the robust education system and a basis for the general education environment,” President Margvelashvili stated, remembering his fist profession of being a mountain guide. “It has taught me cooperation and planning,” President Margvelashvili said, recalling his first profession as one of the most exciting experiences.
