President Zourabichvili Awards Medal of Honor to Tamaz Tkemaladze

President Salome Zourabichvili awarded Tamaz Tkemaladze, an editor at the Georgian Public Broadcaster, with the Medal of Honor for his personal contribution to the development of Georgian television and his long-term fruitful pedagogical and social works.

The award ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace, where friends and colleagues of Tamaz Tkemaladze were also present. The President thanked Mr. Tkemaladze for his productive and diverse work.

“Your long-term career and interesting path in journalism is a model for young journalists. Our country needs journalists as you. Journalists, who know their country best and are aware of its history and its writings, can pass their experience to the youth and share with them what Georgian culture means.
“I hope that with your case and your public and social recognition, we show the young generation that there exists an interesting path of journalism – being the chronicler of your own country,” stated President Zourabichvili.

She congratulated Tamaz Tkemaladze on his state award and for his 70th birthday.
