President Zourabichvili: “We Are Not Forgetting Occurred Tragedy, but we Continue Our Path to Future

 On August 8, President Salome Zourabichvili met with the population living along the occupation line in the village of Gremiskhevi.

“We are not forgetting the tragedy that took place, however, I think it is unacceptable to just think about the past. We must make today a day of hope. For this, we must focus all our major efforts to support and assist the local populations,” stated President Zourabichvili. Empowering the local population carries a significant importance for the development of our state.

“You are Georgian soldiers fighting against the occupation, and standing on the occupation line. Therefore, to improve your situation, to increase your advocacy, and taking care of your security is are necessary,” said the President during a conversation with the population. President Zourabichvili visited the village of Gremiskhevi a month ago for Tijroba.
The President promised them to solve the major local road problem. Today, President Zourabichvili announced to the Gremiskhevi population the decision by the government to build a 12-kilometer road leading to the village, starting next year.
