President Zourabichvili: We can Show Europe What Georgia Represents via Cultural Routes

President Salome Zourabichvili attended the event “Cultural Routes – Georgia, Europe” organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia where she delivered a speech to the audience.
While talking about the cultural routes in Georgia, President Zourabichvili emphasized its significance for our country’s integration in Europe.
According to President Zourabichvili, our pathway to Europe is through all possible instruments and nobody can stop Georgia on this way. Hence, we need lots of paths leading Europe toward us and show what Georgia represents. With this regard, the mentioned cultural routes are an interesting asset.
“With these routes, European peoples will understand how European Georgia is. These routes are important from both cultural and tourism perspectives, as well as in economic and regional aspects. This will be a direct and proper way to advance our regions as these ways open opportunities to explore them.
The major part of these routes should be in the fields of archeology, traditions and religion, as many people are now interested in pilgrimage in Europe, and I will walk through Saint Nino’s path on 1 June," stated President Zourabichvili.
President Zourabichvili also noted that Georgia, specifically Kutaisi, will host the 11th forum of cultural routes of the Council of Europe and that this will be an important event.
