​President Salome Zourabichvili to Visit Imereti Region

Salome Zourabichvili, President of Georgia will pay a visit to the region of Imereti on February 9.
The visit aims at assessing the potential of Georgia’s regions and supporting their further development in line with President Zourabichvili’s campaign promises.
President Zourabichvili will be hosted by Shavlego Tabatadze, State Representative in Imereti Region and Giorgi Chigvaria, Mayor of Kutaisi.
As part of the visit, President Zourabichvili will travel to Kutaisi and Tskaltubo. In Kutaisi, she will deliver a speech at Akaki Tsereteli State University and address representatives of diverse social groups.
She will visit the Kutaisi Botanical Garden, one of the key historic landmarks in Kutaisi, and, in a surrounding area, explore a hydroelectric dam, being an outstanding example of engineering and industrial architecture.
To assess the touristic potential of the region, President Zourabichvili will also visit sanatoriums, Satsurblia Cave, and Besarion Gabashvili Park where the heads of the Georgian-Polish joint expedition will introduce the President to the outcomes of archaeological excavations.
To support the development of small business in Tskaltubo, President Zourabichvili will visit the farm of Otia Ioseliani’s grandson who furthers the traditions of honey-making and Qvevri wine-making. For the same purpose, she will also visit to the company “Herbia” that produces eco-friendly and organic products, greens and vegetables.
In Tskaltubo, President Zourabichvili will pay a visit to the Inclusive Center for Children and meet with its beneficiaries.
