The President of Georgia met with the President of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

The President of Georgia has held the meeting with the Turkish President H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as part of the World Humanitarian Summit.
 
The sides have discussed the existing political, economic and cultural relationships between Georgia and Turkey.
 
The President of the Republic of Turkey reiterated his support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
 
The sides have spoken about the upcoming NATO Warsaw Summit, during the meeting.
 
“The President of the Republic of Turkey has noted that Georgia should definitely become the member of NATO.
 
At the same time, the discussion was focused on the significantly important strategic projects that is implemented jointly together with Azerbaijan.
 
We have talked about Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed hope that this project will also finished this year.
 
It was also discussed several future partnership projects”, - was stated by the Head of the Administration of the President of Georgia Mr. Giorgi Abashishvili.  
 
The Head of the Administration of the President of Georgia Mr. Giorgi Abashishvili, the Secretary of the National Security Council, Mrs. Irine Imerlishvili and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Turkey Mr. Irakli Koplatadze have also attended the meeting.
