President Margvelashvili Congratulates Georgian Armed Forces on the 27th Anniversary

President of Georgia, H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili has visited Vaziani Military Base to congratulate Georgian Armed Forces on the 27th anniversary. He has addressed servicemen and thanked them for their commitment. 
"We are the state that is able to be independent and free; the state that does not only declare this choice, but also defends it. Our ability to advance our homeland depends on your daily efforts. I would like to thank you for the feeling of fulfillment that fills my heart when speaking about your commitment with our international partners. Thank you for the bravery that you have been exhibiting in international missions for years.
I share the grief of losing our comrades; the grief that has shaken up our homeland for many times,” President Margvelashvili said while addressing the Georgian Armed Forces.
According to the President, this year Georgia celebrates an important historic occasion, the 100th anniversary of the First Georgian Republic.
“I must emphasize the huge contribution of your compatriots who were the most resilient 100 years ago to fight and defend our country; who impressed their contemporaries so much that not only soldiers, but ordinary citizens and even women were standing beside them to defend Tbilisi.
Today, when we assess our history, we must highlight that not everyone could have resisted and overcome challenges facing our country. Our generals and officers have made every effort in serving our homeland. Even today, when we have to defend our country on daily basis, we rely on you and you should also have hope in us, in politicians, who will stand beside you in every circumstances.
Our major goal will always be winning the war without fighting and bloodshed! Our decision and firmness is strengthened by your professionalism and commitment to our homeland. I congratulate you on this occasion and thank you for your service. I celebrate this crucial date with you.
God bless you and God bless Georgia!” President Margvelashvili said. Following his address, President Margvelashvili examined anti-tank missile, Javelin.
