The First Lady of Georgia Takes Part in a Theatre Performance to End Violence against Women

The First Lady of Georgia, Mrs. Maka Chichua has taken part in a theater performance, “Seven”, dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The performance includes seven plays about the rights of women.
“Today’s performance is dedicated to the fight against violence against women. Characters of the play are females from various countries who have escaped from this heavy burden of violence. These females have become fighters to help other victims and their attempt has appeared to be successful. These are unusual women whose characters reflect their past”, - stated Mrs. Chichua.
The play was staged in Kote Marjanishvili State Academic Drama Theatre and together with Mrs. Chichua was performed by famous women, working in different spheres.
The project was organized by the non-governmental organization “Women’s Fund in Georgia”, the Swedish Institute, and the Swedish Embassy in Georgia.
